TrialCV ("we", "us", "our") operates the TrialCV mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your first name, last name, and email address.

Resume Data: When you create a Job Pack, we collect the work history, job titles, dates, bullet points, certifications, skills, and job posting text you provide. This data is used solely to generate your resume and cover letter.

Usage Data: We collect anonymous analytics events (e.g., "job pack created", "export completed") to improve the app. These events do not contain your resume content.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and deliver your Job Pack (resume, cover letter, keyword analysis)
• To authenticate your account and manage your sessions
• To track your application history in the Tracker tab
• To improve app performance and fix bugs through anonymous analytics
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)

3. AI Processing

TrialCV uses AI (Claude by Anthropic) to rewrite your resume bullets and generate cover letters. Your input text is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Key safeguards:

• Your data is not used to train AI models. Anthropic's API does not use customer inputs for training.
• AI operates in rewrite-only mode — it translates your existing experience, never fabricates content.
• Every AI-generated line is checked for derived claims and must be approved by you before export.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Hosting: Your data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security — you can only access your own data.
• Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).
• Authentication: Auth tokens are stored in your device's secure keychain (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore), not in plain storage.
• Access: Only you can access your Job Packs. Our team does not access your resume data unless you explicitly request human review.

5. Protected Health Information (PHI)

TrialCV is not a PHI processor. Do not upload patient data, medical records, or any Protected Health Information. All clinical text you enter must be de-identified work history — your job titles, responsibilities, and professional achievements only.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

• Anthropic (AI processing): Your resume text is sent to Anthropic's API for rewriting. Anthropic does not retain or train on this data.
• Supabase (infrastructure): Provides database and authentication services.
• Resend (email): Sends transactional emails (confirmation, password reset) on our behalf.

7. Data Retention

Your Job Packs and account data are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@trialcv.com.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data (visible in the app at all times)
• Correct your data (edit Job Packs from the Tracker tab)
• Delete your data (contact us for full account deletion)
• Export your data (download your resume and cover letter as DOCX/PDF)

9. Cookies & Tracking

The TrialCV mobile app does not use cookies. Our landing page (trialcv.com) does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

10. Children's Privacy

TrialCV is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
