Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TrialCV mobile application ("App") operated by TrialCV ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

TrialCV is a resume and cover letter preparation tool designed for clinical research and allied health professionals. The App:

• Translates your existing, factual work experience into ATS-compatible clinical language
• Does not create, invent, or fabricate experience on your behalf
• Does not guarantee interviews, job offers, or ATS pass rates

TrialCV is a writing assistance tool, not an employment agency or career guarantee service.

2. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the App. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

3. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• Accuracy of your input: All work history, dates, roles, bullet points, certifications, and skills you enter must be truthful and accurate. TrialCV rewrites your language — it does not verify your claims.
• Reviewing all AI output: You must review every rewritten bullet, cover letter paragraph, and claim warning before exporting. Exported content is your responsibility.
• No PHI: Do not upload Protected Health Information, patient data, or any confidential medical records. All input must be de-identified professional work history.
• Compliance: You are responsible for ensuring your resume and cover letter comply with the requirements of any position you apply for.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Enter false, misleading, or fabricated work experience
• Upload Protected Health Information or patient data
• Use the App to misrepresent your qualifications to employers
• Attempt to bypass the App's claim verification or export controls
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Share your account credentials with others

5. Beta Program

During the beta period:

• The App is provided free of charge with a limit of 2 Job Packs per account
• Features may change, be added, or removed without notice
• The App is provided "as is" — we do not guarantee uptime or error-free operation during beta
• Beta access may be revoked at our discretion

6. Pricing & Payment

After the beta period, Job Packs will be available for purchase at the listed price (currently planned at $19 per Job Pack). Pricing is subject to change with notice. Each Job Pack includes one complete application package: resume, keyword analysis, claim verification, and optional cover letter add-on.

7. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain ownership of all work history and personal information you enter. The AI-rewritten output is a derivative of your input and belongs to you.

Our property: The App, its design, code, AI prompts, claim detection systems, and all associated technology are the property of TrialCV. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App.

8. AI-Generated Content

The App uses AI (Claude by Anthropic) to rewrite your resume bullets and generate cover letters. You acknowledge that:

• AI output is generated based on your input and may not always be perfect
• You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content
• The App's derived claim detection system helps identify potential issues, but it is not infallible
• Final responsibility for the accuracy of your resume rests with you

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The App will meet your specific requirements
• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
• AI-generated rewrites will be optimal for every job application
• Using the App will result in interviews, job offers, or career advancement

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrialCV shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Loss of employment opportunities
• Errors in AI-generated content that you approved and submitted
• Data loss due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control
• Any consequences of submitting a resume or cover letter generated with the App

11. Human Review

TrialCV offers an optional human expert review service. If you request human review:

• A qualified reviewer will access your Job Pack to provide feedback
• Human review is advisory only and does not constitute professional career counseling
• We are not responsible for any actions you take based on reviewer feedback

12. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your Job Packs and personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which TrialCV operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
